Worlds Apart: Namibia

Taking the challenge is Derek Moore and his girlfriend Christina DeGuardi, plus Derek's friend Chris Cononico and his girlfriend Justis Bolding. Upon arrival, the two unmarried couples discover that, according to the local Himba culture, they must live in separate villages until they are married. Derek and Chris stay in the main village with Phillip Tjisuta, a Himba tribesman, while the women are taken elsewhere.

At first, both couples are motivated to participate in all the tribal rituals and customs in order to be able to live together for the duration of this adventure. But adhering to the strictly defined gender roles pushes the women to their breaking point
