Essential Questions: What impact will a simple gesture of appreciation have on the recipient? Family as an agent

Task: You are to select a person in your life who has had a positive impact of your development and write them a letter acknowledging the impact of their presence in your life. The purpose of this letter is to serve as a random act of kindness in the spirit of what Sean Connery’s character in Finding Forrester calls “unexpected gifts at unexpected times.”

Guidelines:

#1 Your letter should be completed in the time allotted in class [20 minutes].

#2 Put your initials in the UPPER RIGHT corner of the envelope. This is for my records and will be covered by a stamp when I mail them

#3 If you want your letter mailed on a later date, write the MAIL DATE on the BACK of the envelope in the lower RIGHT corner.

#4 Please include the appropriate address on the envelope provided. If you are unsure of the address or ZIP code, I will hold the letter for ONE WEEK to give you time to retrieve the information.
